Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 of of 5 Days rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari: pick from kigali , do kigali city tour and trasnfer to volcanoes national park.
following your safari, your guide will pick you from your hotel or place of accommodation and you will embark on a kigali city tour getting familiar with some feature such as the kigali genocide memorial, local craft shops and many more. After the city tours, you will embark on a drive to volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri District of Rwanda, the drive takes approximately 2:30 hours . upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2 of 5 days rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari : morning gorilla trekking in the park and afternoon visit of of ibyiwacu cultural village.
in the morning after your breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing on the gorilla trekking exercise, be a signed a ranger and a gorilla family to track from. later head into the jungles in search for the gorillas. the hike in search for the gorillas could take you between 50 minutes to 3 hours. upong meeting the gorillas, you will have a maximum of 1 hour to spend with the gorillas while interacting and taking photos. later depart the park and transfer back to the lodge for lunch and a brief relaxation. after lunch you will head to ibyiwacu cultural village for the immersion into Rwanda’s culture. while at the village, you will be taught on several ways of preparation of food, cultural dances, marriage ceremonies, construction of houses local and many more. later you will bead back your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 of 5 days rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari: transfer from volanoes park to Akagera national park.
waking up to the relaxed day , have you breakfast and after you will check out of the lodge and embark a drive to Akagera national park. The drive can take you 5 hours, upon arrival you will check in at your lodge for dinners and an overnight stay.
Day 4 of 5 Days Rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari : morning game drive in the park and afternoon boat cruiser on lake Ihema.
In the morning after a nice breakfast in your lodge , you will be picked by your guide, who will take you for a game drive in the park. The park offers amazing opportunity to view wildlife of the wildlife you will come across include zebras, topis, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, hyenas, antelopes, klipspringers, hippos and many more. later after doing the drive, you will transfer back to your lodge for a relaxation and lunch. ln the afternoon after lunch you will transfer to the shores of lake Ihema and catch a scenic boat cruiser viewing several bird species and wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos and many more. in the evening depart the boat cruise and and transfer back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 of 5 days rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari : morning game drive and transfer back to Kigali.
On your last day of 5 days rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari, you will wake up to a hot breakfast. later you can opt for a morning game drive in the park in order to maximize your wildlife count probably seeing waht you did not see the previous day. Depart the game drive and transfer back to your lodge and check out. Transfer back to Kigali and arrive in time for your flight back home.
